With the increasing popularity of exotic pets, Plantation Centre Animal Hospital has welcomed the growing interest of the exotic pet family.

Medically, small mammals, pocket pets, reptiles and birds are a bit more unique and unusual than our dog and cat friends but we are willing to do what is necessary to provide service to your exotic pet’s needs.

Currently we offer care to any of these pets. However, sometimes our services must be limited. For instance, due to their frail nature, birds require special care when treating disease and sickness. Therefore, we must limit services to nail, beak and wing clipping, and minor injury treatment. If you have a more serious problem with your avian friend, we can refer you to a more specialized veterinarian.

We try to accomodate most pets, but we DO NOT treat venomous snakes or reptiles, large carnivorous reptiles, spiders and other insects, and some wildlife.
